African Dreams

On an inhospitable coast, where the ocean meets the desert, the wrecks of lost ships lie scattered here and there. The main draw of this remote place is above all its colors, its shifting moods and the untouched state of the landscape. The dense fogs that hang over the shore and the cold sea breezes stirred by the Benguela current wrap this singular place in an aura of mystery and impenetrability. It's these same conditions that sustain the unique ecosystem of the Skeleton Coast. Its scenery is endlessly varied - from breathtaking, boundless dunes to mountain ridges and harsh canyons whose walls are richly painted in every color of volcanic rock. This wild, severe land is considered one of the least civilized places left on the planet. Here, besides the hulls of ships, you can come across a colony of fur seals, find old coins washed up on the sand by a storm, the skeletons of dead whales, or simply feast your eyes on the unreal landscape of a lifeless desert on the ocean's edge. But what could possibly be interesting about a desert? Only that droids walk across it and mysterious Jawas roam it. Yet what room for the imagination opens up at a single glance across the endless sands. Fog swirls above them, hiding even the little we can see. And you can picture absolutely anything.
