Iceland is an astonishing country. Its purest air, untouched wilderness, high mountains, craters and mighty rivers leave an impression you can't shake off. Here you lose all sense of space and time. It's simply another planet. Huge black lava hills shaped like fairytale castles, hemmed in by multicolored mountains that look like an artist's palette where green, orange and brown have been stirred together. Astonishingly varied thermal zones, where fumaroles, boiling mud and steam seeping up from the ground alternate with fluorescent mosses and snowfields. Or maybe it's just another world? A desolate, cold mountain. Everything has fallen silent. The surface of the lake shimmers faintly. Life seems to have stopped in this mysterious, magical place. So completely that you feel like an uninvited guest here. But soon this will end. The Ring is gone. A new dawn is kindling over Mordor.
